i tried that and it didn't work. the handbook says that i can't transfer videos from the tape to the computer, just from a memory card to the computer (that's where the USB comes in). it also said i needed DC port and cable to transfer from the tape. so now what?

No, the camera has a USB port. ALl you have to do is connect it to the pc and it should allow you to copy the movies over.

Because you have a USB output from the camera that is all you need. You can use Movie maker to import the video to your computer.

i don't think u need a PCMCIA card, you just need a cable connecting ur camera to usb

unless u don't have usb
