o.k.....the whole idea of driving slower is to reduce fatalities. studies show that accidents at lowers speeds have a less incident of serious injury and/or death, sooooooo........letting everyone know they are being monitored, hopefully, slows people down thus reducing these horrific outcomes of high speed impacts. i know everyone thinks the city's want to write as many tickets as possible to generate revenue, but , i would like to think, they also care about peoples lives? hence the warning. not to catch you , but to slow everyone down. a necessary evil????? ever been in a high speed impact?..you get a star!

Two, I think:
1. Those smart enough to read the signs will slow down. Who's to say, though, that someone isn' t watching before they hit the camera and slow down, so they should be going the speed limit, anyway.
2. Those dumb enough to ignore the signs get caught. They either can't read or won't, and one is as bad as the other in this case!

Ya there is they are being warned if caught speeding they picture will be used in court to convict you of speeding. Before there was not any signs and its against the law to take photos of people that are unaware of being photographed so the signs are warning you.

They probably don't want to go through all that expenditure of paper and time, they just want the road to be less hazardous for everyone by reminding them to slow down. If the drivers wish to ignore traffic warnings and aren't paying attention to the road, then they truly deserve to get ticketed.

It is just another way of slowing people down. It's like giving you an extra chance to follow the law.Although I must say that they dont give you enough of a buffer before the camera to actually slow down in time.LMAO
