I'm usually the "read and delete" person. But I do have some mails that I want to keep forever. The oldest one is dated Oct. 22, 2005 from a dear friend. My friend suffered a massive stroke Thanksgiving Day that same year. Prior to her stroke, we were constantly e-mailing or chatting (IM or cell). Inspite of intensive treatment and rehab, she's just barely functional. I visited her yesterday (for the 1st time since the stroke - she's in NYC, I'm in Houston) altho I'd been warned that she wouldn't even know who I am. I just wanted to hug her so bad.

I'm so glad I have her "last" e-mail. Truth be told, I haven't stopped e-mailing her...she may not remember me but I sure remember her and she will always be my friend.

I'll check:

Sheesh... it's an email to my sister two years ago. And it just says, "ZZzzz" (pretending to be asleep).

I should delete it. In fact, over 90% of my inbox should be deleted.

Great question.
