Iraqis are being blownup and killed daily by suicide bombers because the want freedom? Is that not fighting for it.

Because it would give a victory to GW, and blow there whole theory about him being incompitant apart.
They would rather we get hit by terrorists again then admit Bush was right

1) I may have missed it, but America got democracy (actually, a republic, by why quibble) by fighting for it. Sure, we had a little help from France, but nobody came in here, kicked out the British, and installed George Washington as our first president. Correct me if I'm wrong.
2) Whenever a country gets involved in the internal affairs of another country, they get burned.
3) American soldiers are the finest, best equipped, best trained in the world. They are however, not policemen. they are not trained to do the job they are being asked to do. Therefore, we are putting them in harms way, to fight someone elses civil war.
4)Sectarian hatred has existed in theis region throughout recorded history. Do you really think we're going to change that.
5)We don't understand their culture which revolves around family, tribe, bargaining, and hyperbolic bluster. Remember the "Wall of Death"? Remember "the desert will run red with American Blood"? Hyperbole, part of the culture.
6)The Iraqis have had 4 years....4 YEARS, that's longer than we were involved in WWII (Dec 1941 - August 1945) to get their butts in gear. And they haven't done it. So, no, I don't feel at this point that the Iraqis have shown that they deserve democracy.

and fight for THEIR democracy?

mean the IRAQI'S have to win the war...
ITS THEIR WAR...ITS THEIR DEMOCRACY...

It is not a matter of them "deserving" it. It is a matter of them wanting it enough to fight for it themselves.
