It's tough to say, both have incredible charisma, great mic skills, are both in great shape and good to sell moves (getting hit and stuff), but who is better ? Who can't compare a "sport" like the WWE, since it's "not real", like Basketball or Hockey.
I love The Rock because he makes me laugh sometime, but I love John Cena's intensity when he gets mad.

Nobody has the right to say The Rock is "A LOT" better than Cena.. The Rock is better but not that much!!
The reason that The Rock is better for most people is because he's already a legend.. But, some time back then, The Rock was also hated..
Both of them are the same..
They both:
-played as a football player
-have "almost" the same moves
-love to speak in the microphone
-are pushed by the WWE
-are charismatic
-are movie stars
The Rock stayed in WWE for about 9 years, and on those years, he was loved and hated..
This year, it's Cena's 5th year only.. And, there are still some time when people are going to love and hate them..
And I know somebody will disagree with me and say that "I will never love nor like Cena forever!!".. Well, I can't stop you from saying that, that's what is on your mind "right now".. Today, you will say "I hate Cena!!", but back then you also said "I hate The Rock!!"..
That's human psychology.. WWE writers likes to mess up the minds of their customers, and they are actually good on it..
