I'm looking for some nice jazz (or blues) pieces that can be played on guitar and piano that would be a) easily obtainable in sheet music form and b) be suitable for a village fete. thanks

Try lookin up some George Benson, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Charlie Hunter, or Jazz Masters compilation albums. Oh and then of course there's Carlos Santana too. Those are just some of the top of my head.

They're very popular so it shouldn't be too hard finding these.

Nina Simone! Anything by her is great but my favs are

'My Baby Just Cares For Me' or 'Just In Time'

Lizz Wright brings a refreshing air to contemporary jazz try either of her albums, Salt or Dreaming Wide Awake

Best bet is one of those fatty fake books with 250+ songs in it for 35 bucks. You'll use it all your life.
