cv joints are going bad--looking at about $100 a piece and about $200 in labor to have it replaced.

It sounds like a wheel bearing, but could also be the strut. Better get it checked out soon. Don't wait until the wheel falls off, although that would be a way to get an exact anwer as to what is wrong!

Likely you have a problem with a brake caliper/rotor or a hub bearing. In either event, I would get it looked at right away. You don't want a wheel coming off out on the road some night.

Sounds like the brakes on the right side, a dry wheel running off of bad bearing grease or no bearing grease...

Most probably rear wheel bearing. If it's ginding, it's worn.

You could jack up the car, and if it's worn bad enough, you'll be able to shake the wheel.

1. Have a mechanic inspect your brakes.

2. Stop driving it until it has been diagnosed

3. Be prepared to spend $300+ for repairs
