Just go out to your neighbor's hose and fill it that way, then take it to the store and say you bought it and it was damaged .. they will give you a new one.

It's wrong either way. It's there for everybody to drink while their at " work". If you worked in a bank and had access to a lot of money, would it be alright to take some. I think not. Same principal. Stealing is stealing. I'm not a goody two shoes or self righteous, I've been there before and had to examine myself on many occasions.

Stealing is stealing. This ranks with cashiers stealing from a cash drawer and then when caught saying that they deserve the cash as they are not making enough.
If your job does not pay you enough to afford to buy your own water, you need to search for another job with higher wages; not steal from your current boss.

It depends where you work. If you work in a posh office it may not be a great idea. When my husband worked on the ranch, he used to fill our cooler with ice and it was OK

you know I always say if you can't do it in front of the boss you shouldn't do it, so I always let my boss see me sitting down reading papers and drinking coffee!
