Why do some people refer to Florida as "Flevoland"?

I have been noticing that a lot lately, what does it mean?

I think it's just slang from the kids. Not quite as catchy as "god's waiting room" but it'll do, I guess.

A "flevo" is a funky looking bicycle that you recline in. Lot of those cruising by?
