One meter has 100 centimeters. So, in order to convert your answer into meters, you have to divide by 100 (100 cm = 1 meter).

0.058 cm x 1 meter/ (100cm) = 0.00058 meters.

Your answer would be .00058 meters.

Just move the decimal point 2 places to the left, that's the good thing about the metric system.

1.00000 Centimeter = 0.01000 Meters

Or 100 centimeters = 1 meter

But you have 0.058cm

Therefore multiply .058 x .01 = 0.00058m

cm are much smaller than a meter

One meter is 39.328 inches or a bit longer than a yardstick.
