are you charting, normally in a cycle you would ovulate around day 13 to 16 taking the first day of your period as day one . when you ovulate your temp will rise and you will notice a discharge like egg whites very stretchy and see through and there will be a lot of it . check out fertility friend they have all the information on ovulating and charting if you want to get pregnant or prevent it.

It is believed that you ovulate 14 days before your due period, however.... this isnt always the case. The 'Lutheal' phase is the time between when you ovualte and when your period starts. I don't think you can tell this unless you use an obulation kit or have medical tests done, therefor it is 'assumed' that we have a 14 day lutheal phase. But remember evryone is different, some people ovulate eary, some later on in their cycle. My cycle was previously 35 days (prior to contraception, god how I hate that word!) and was ovulating.
Use an ovualtion kit, or see your doc is my reccomendation.

For the "bloke", your period is not always 14 days after ovulation, esp. if you're having long cycles like 37 day ones, it can be much longer (or shorter) than that... try going to mymonthlycycles.com and enter in as much information as you have. My cycles were long, and this site really helped me pinpoint ovulation, BUT, I had to aim for the day before they suggested as my ovulation date.

Your period is 2 weeks after ovulation.
That never changes regardless of how long the time between your period and ovulation is.
.... and I'm a bloke!
