I think they will ask some of the same questions we ask, and probably regard the United States as "ONE" race of people, and not White,Black,Asian,Latin and so forth. I also ask do people not realize that we are neighbors, and regarded as one people, no matter how physically different we may be?What do you think?

What they think of us 2000 years from now will depend on what happens between now and then. I am more optimistic than many others who have commented so far. Some things must be done for someone to be here in 2000 years that is true, but there are many people trying to open our eyes to the way we are damaging our environment. Many people are trying to open our eyes to the fact that war decides nothing. Many people are trying to open our eyes to the fact that we are fast becoming a dual society one who has it all and one who has nothing. It is now up to us to let our voices be heard as to which direction we want to go. Write letters to the editor write your legislatures. Talk to your local officials. And Vote your convictions. We could be highly regarded in 2000 years.

The United States will never be regarded to as "One" race of people because the face of our country is constantly changing due to immigration. Unless the whole world mixes, the United states will always have different races.
There are some who embrace the second part of your question with open arms while there are others who cant get rid of hundreds of years of mistruths and mistraining. Ignorance ran rampant an unfortunately, some people who may appear to be smart in all other aspects fall to that ignorance because it is all they know.
There are some who are just scared of differences. If it isnt skin color it can be height, age, weight, gender, etc, so no matter how mixed the world becomes it will never be mixed enough to get rid of ignorance and hate.
by the way, in 2000 years i am fairly sure that man would have destroyed the earth well enough that it cannot sustain life at all... maybe some of those who escaped will be living on the moon or something like that...

Probably similar yto the way WE regard the Roman Empire, now.
Considering the way technology is progressing, we will probably be settled on other planets and expanded well beyond the realm of this solar system.
There will doubtlessly be a totally different socio/political structure in place, so I suspect that (if our written history goes with us, that is) they will view us about the same way we, ourselves, now view the major civilization we know of that have come and gone before us.
They'll conduct archaeological digs and probably grossly mis-interpret the evidence they find in order to make it fit within the parameters of whatever their society deems as socially acceptable. Those "anomalies" that fall outside their orthodox cultural guidlines will be suppressed and/or deliberately mis-represented as something else. A few rugged individualists will guess at the hidden truths, but probably keep them to themselves to avoid ridicule and social sanctions of whatever type will be common in that era.
In other words, "The more things change, the more they remain the same."

You know, 2,000 years into the future is a long time, especially when you consider that the rate of change has accelerated dramatically.
2,000 years ago was roughly the time of Christ. Science as we know it really started taking off only 500 years ago. All of recorded history goes back only about 6,000 years max.
2,000 years from now? My guess is that human beings will be extinct. Seriously, You've heard about global warming and climate change? That's only a piece of it. Google on "sixth mass extinction" and check out that stuff. If humans changed all the conditions today that are causing these problems, the earth wouldn't recover for 500 years, according to scientists. AND, of course...humans are NOT making these changes. The situation is actually getting worse.
Back to your question...my answer is no one will have any thoughts about the U.S. at all by then. The thinking-talking species will have killed itself off and have taken most of the rest of lifeforms with it.

Think globally, not locally.
This means the world instead of thinking the the US is the world.
We must get past this self-centered view of the world.
So therefore, they would think that they were narcissistic.

In 2000 years, the U.S. will be regarded the same as England of the 18th and 19th centuries -- arrogant know-it-all azzholes.

2,000 years from now the Lord will be on his (King David's)
throne, and no one will remember (or care) what America once was.
