make sure you list your site at http://www.dmoz.org once they pick up your site, all major search engines will too.

Well, if I were you, I'd first post it here- you'd get hits from everyone answering this question just to see what it looks like!
Then there's the "grafitti" technique- print out the website address on sticker paper, ( along with a one line description or "tagline" if the website addy isn't self-explanitory) and post the stickers everywhere you go - you can get some traffic from that.
