Have you tried CLR
it is good for removing calcium lime and rust , usually caused by heavy metals found in water.
Also cream based products seem to work well also because they stick to the surface, try Vim.
The best thing I find is regular cleaning to avoid build up in the first place.
I live in a househould that is male dominated and unfortunately the tend to take more showers and do not seem as concerned as I am to have the tub clean.
Another non toxic cleaner that works well is good old baking soda.
Good luck

You are going to want a product that removes calcium and lime. So CLR, Lime-Away, stuff like that plus add a little bit of elbow grease and the problem should resolve. It may take more than one cleaning as well, so if it doesn't work the very first time, try it again. After a few good scrubs, you should be good to go.

scrubbing thoroughly once is a good remedy. Get a slightly abrasive scrubber and something like Ajax or comet and scrub until you feel the burn. Follow up after daily showers with a leave on shower spray, and keep the exhaust fan on in the bathroom for at least 20 minutes after you shower.

what I've tried in the past and seemed to work is Clorox tub and shower cleaner with soap scum remover. You need to let it soak awhile and it usually takes a few times depending on how hard the water is in your area.

I do use Kaboom, it work pretty well, very fast, and you don't have to scrub at all, just pass a soft sponge and rinse with water and it'll be gone in seconds. It works for tile, glass and the metal parts in the shower and sink. The bottle is a plastic purple bottle.
Hope it works.

Fuller makes a great tub and tile cleaner and scrubbing bubbles usually work well for me.
Try Clorox clean up in between deep cleanings.
Good luck
