they confessed that --they got orders to do so

Clearly they did not. Only people who do not understand technology at all will not understand that their position will have been marked by GPS and be capable of proof beyond doubt!

Whilst there are disputes about just where borders are due to the fact that there are a number of treaties their boat was no where near a disputed border of any description.

The British government to their credit are doing what they can to resolve this through diplomacy but at the end of the day the Iranian action in capturing the men was an open act of war!

They have compounded that by refusing to rerspect international law and the geneva convention by refusing consular access.

What they are actually doing is underlining that they are a rogue nation which ignores international treaties and obligations and therefore the last country on earth that should be allowed the possibility of possessing a nuclear weapon!!

The Iranians must have their heads buried in the sand though - All their neighbours are buying lots of sophistacated weapons to defend themselves against Iran and who knows perhaps thinking they may eventually have to move in and stop the Terrorist leader of the country. Thew US must be laughing up it's sleeve at all the arms sales it is making because of Irans posturing!!

But consider - a few sailors and marines are suffering at the moment but the majority of Iran live in fear and many in poverty because the country keeps wasting it's money on war and promoting terrorism!

I wager they admitted to the finished element and attempting to start a conflict. Iran merely used a sprint prolonged status and a few water boarding and the sailors have been implicated in 9/11

Whatever you say, Mahmoud. The Iranians have the dubious distinction of being the only people in the world whom I believe even less than the Brits.

Iranian forces should know very wll where the line was demarcated in 1975 and then re-asserted after the Iran-Iraq war...I'll give you a hint: the Limeys were in Iraqi waters.

Apart from witnesses, they also have GPS data showing they where not in Iranian waters.
Iran is run by a bunch of radicals who are going to create a war that the rest of the world wants to avoid

Well, according to Iran, they did. But according to Brittain and the US, they didn't. It's a 50/50 guess as of now.
