I've read this thing over and over, and cannot see, for the life of me why anyone would be opposed to it, except that they want us to use an archaic and inefficient system meant to oppress the People who abide by the law. Because if the people want to save their money, then the gov't can't touch it. Think about how many politicians would salivate over taxing money in 401(k)'s if they could.

Too many rich folks are able to protect their assets with the current tax codes and a whole lot of other folks make a good living doing our taxes for us.

The Fair Tax Act is really a no brainer...but it will never happen.
