its called skepticism or solipsism. but they both are basicaly stating the whole matrix thing.

but people say that you can never truly know that your life is real. and that there is no true evidence. however there are many philosophies and books that show that external world scepticism such as the matrix idea is actualy a self defeating and self refuting idea. example of arguments are things like the private language argument and stuff like that. there is even a book about the matrix and matrix philosophy that show that its self refuting. and if the matrix theory is wrong then so is solipsism ans skepticism.

so with this in mind showing that these concepts are not only highly unlikely, but also self refuting how can it be said that we can never truly know? is it because we can never experiece what other people are and you can only be you? why is it deemed as something humans can never truly know?

You cannot step outside your own consciousness. Not without using some seriously high powered drugs.

If is as if you are stuck inside a building. You can only know what that building looks like from the inside. Without being able to go outside, you can never know what the whole building really looks like. Maybe you have a big mirror outside the building, or several mirrors. You may think you can see what it looks like. But without being able to step outside and check, you can never really know for sure. the same thing is true whether you are on drugs or not.

My advice is not to take drugs. Try meditation instead. The more you explore the meditative state, the more you feel you can understand the nature of consciousness and the universe. You will never understand it completely, however.

Try looking up a philosopher called Ken Wilbur.

It relies upon the style you outline wisdom. There are extremely a great style of theories of wisdom, however the single in touch right here makes use of entire actuality because of the fact the criterion. In different words, you purely count extensive style as understanding something if that is not any longer achieveable to doubt it. that is not any longer correct if it would be stupid to doubt it or in case you do no longer quite doubt it or if that is ridiculously no longer likely. the belief is, if there have been a gazillion achieveable worlds, and in purely a variety of worlds what you believed became no longer real, then your theory would not count extensive style as wisdom. some people might say that a theory like places the onus of evidence plenty too far on one section. yet then different individuals (like Bertrand Russell) say that one and all we ought to act is properly-justified ideals: we don't "choose" wisdom besides.

I do not see the matrix as a posivility.... I do not believe in it... and I am sure I exist and that the other people exist.....
If I can think... then I exist.... if I can communicate with something... that something exists.... etc... I can go on to proving everything exists...

I do believe in my 5 senses and what they tell me exists....

Hope that helps!

I think its both really cool and VERY funny how people create theories then gain a lot from them via others actually wasting their time pondering them!!!!
