Should the gas companies lower their the costs of gas and diesel?

That way people will use it more sparingly.
We should use less gasoline and buy hybrid cars.

I really don't care for them though (oil companies).

Should any business owner lower their prices so you can save money? NO! Why should I cut into my profit so you can save a buck or two. The more you need my product and the less I have of it, the more I will charge you. It's called supply and demand. Welcome to America. This is called capitalism.
