yah, not only you but anyone can get a girl or guy on the internet as a friend but the thing is: is it really safe? how do you know that you can trust this person's words? you don't know and you may form a relation and that may get stronger for you but not for them and in the end it'll probably end up being you who gets hurts in the situation. So, listen up and don't lead a path for you to get hurt and that too one that was set by you. Don't go for online girls or guys.

You need to be more specific. Why wouldn't you be able to have a female friend online? Are you involved with somebody and then have a friend you enjoy talking to but are afraid it'll become more? There are so many factors involved.
