Unfortunately six months would be the minimum amount of time. If you get it within that you are doing very well.

Keep holding your breath, they are probably just taking so long because they are eating donuts, but they will probably get to it eventually , so there is still hope!

Keep on their case until you get a response, maybe then they will take the matter seriously. Don't leave it up to them.
