Yes Ruby is a full object oriented language and simple to learn.
Try to download Ruby On Rail it is a platform allow to build website using the ruby language. It comes with msql plug in as well as ajax capabilities. It also comes with a nice Ruby Editor.

I think this Prog lang has future. It has taken a Lot from Other Prog Languages eliminating their weakness and taking in only the best. Though i am still on the learning stage,I think this is the best lang i have ever seen.
