Any photo editing program can do what you need. Just right click on the image and choose save as, and save it to your computer. If it has a white background then use the crop tool to get rid of it.
Keep in mind that most images on the web are copyrighted, and the owner MAY take issue with their images being downloaded without permission, so proceed with caution.
