RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it's basically a way to easily keep track of any updates on websites/blogs, etc. It saves time because it will tell you when updates have been made, rather than you having to go to each site to see for yourself. If you use firefox, you should try Sage - it's a great RSS feeder. I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "allow", sorry.

What do you mean by "allow"? in what context are you finding it?

RSS is a visualizer used for electronic "periodicals" if you will, such as blogs, news feeds, and podcasts.
