I have a 2004 Grand Am that I bought in Michigan a few years ago. Michigan is a one plate state so it wasn't prepped for a front plate. I recently moved to Maryland a two plate state and really don't want to damage my car to get the stupid thing on. So I was wondering how I could attach the front plate?

The easiest way is to get a self tapping screw and screw it right to the bumper like I did with my 98 honda I bought when the old screws wouldn't come out.

Strong double sided tape which can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes. I have some and it is extermely tough and has been holding my Honda emblem on the back of my car for 4 years. If you ever need to remove it, it also comes off without damaging the body.

Don't. The chances of you being pulled over for not having it are 1 in 100 000. Or put it on your dash on the passenger side. In some states it's not even required. My wife doesn't have one for 5 smth years. She doesn't even know it's missing. Don't spoil the appearance of your car by drilling holes in front bumper.

go to a Pontiac dealer, they may be required to provide a bracket to mount the plate. They may do it just for the good will. If not, then you can see how they are attached to the new ones.
