Unfortunately it would probably cause more problems. Alot of people men and women alike don't like for their shortcomings to be pointed out to them, even more so when there is definite proof ie the voice recording or the video tape. Maybe you could approach it from a different direction. I have found that with my husband, if I come to him without placing blame or pointing the finger so to speak, and admitting to some fault of my own the conversation generally goes a bit better. You know your husband better than anyone just by asking the question you probably felt that it probably wouldn't go over so well. Good luck!

I have thought about doing something like this. I dont think it is a bad idea at all. Maybe he will see the tape and realize that he is he flipping out in the heat of the moment.

I think it's ok, but I do think it will add to your problems. When a person says and does things more often than not they know their the ones doing it but they don't and won't take the responsibility for it. I would think by taping him you'll just cause a huge argument that your not gonna win, he'll find a way to twist it and blame you anyway, like either you doctored the tape and took out your starting it or he knew you were doing it so he thought he'd play your little game. Your best bet would be to try and find someone for you both to talk to, like a counselor and if he won't go, go by yourself. It'll help you understand his personality better and then you'll be able to deal with him better.

Maybe the problem is the two of you are always trying to be RIGHT ... instead of compromising with each other ... it's not a battle ... you two are suppose to be on the same team looking out for each other not proving each other wrong all the time ... good luck with whatever happens ... I would try reading some relationship books before you break out the video recorder ... !

No, it is not okay. No matter how bad you want to and how much better you will feel with proof that HE'S the one flipping out, it will only cause more problems. After all is said and done, he will resent you for doing that.

Yes I would do it because any time a man wants out of relationship he puts all the blame on the woman. If nothing else having the recordings in court will prove your not a "crazy" wife.

I would tread very carefully about this. First off its illegal due to an invasion of privacy (unless criminal acts are involved) and if you do it your husband may get even angerier..
If counselling is not an issue.. just tell him he is a blow up that next time you will record him to show that he is the one blowing up. See his reaction then.. hey he may agree (just don't mention when)

A lot of people have to see themselves "in action" before they realize how they are. It is a good idea to tape him as long as you use it in a constructive manner and to help your relationship. You have to be careful that you don't do things to provoke him because you know the camera is on because that will only work against you.

he shouldn't be flipping out on you at all, unless he is 2, I say video tape him and if he dosen't get it after that leave him, no one should have to live like that.
