disease and drought come to mind... Elephants get six sets of teeth through their lives, each set lasts about 10 years... After the teeth wear out, its very hard to eat.

the majority of them are killed by poachers but some do die from old age or lack of food during a drought.

the same things any other animal can die of... Old age, disease, starvation, dehydration, accident, predation (occasionally), fighting for dominance (usually males) , etc
