More than likely its not cramps but round ligament pain from your growing uterus and ur body adjusting to the life growing inside. It will continue through out your pregnancy as you continue to grow bigger. Try stretching a little, heating pads (not to hot) and relaxing.

Congrats & Good Luck

Hello I am 11 weeks and 3 days, and still having cramps on my lower right side.. I talked to the doctor about it, because like you there was no bleeding just cramps.. He said that it is normal early in pregnancy to cramp, and toward the end you may cramp as well. Your ligiments are growing and shifting around to hold the added weight of the uterus.. As for the cramping in your ribs I dont know what could cause that. I just started to have a little myself within the past couple of days.. Try to rest and relax and if it gets to bad call and see if they can get you in for a visit to find out what is going on.... Congratulations and Best of Luck...

I was just having the same thing. I spoke to my midwife, and she said as long as you are not bleeding then it is ok. she said some women just have a lot of cramping. oh and I don't want to freak you out, but she also said that even if there was somthing wrong with the baby, at this point there would be nothing they could do..... Oh, and don't let everyone freak you out. I asked this a few days ago and people were like yelling at me to go to the er and stuff, it scared me, but when I called my midwife she said it was fine! Good Luck!

When ever there is cramping or any thing else that worries you call your Dr. and ask to talk to his nurse. You can relay to her your concerns and she will talk to the Dr. and then call you back. I had cramping on two different occassions with two diff. pregnancies and I lost them both. So when ever there is a question big or small call the dr. that is what they are there for and would prefer you call in case it is some thing serious. Good luck and please call the dr.

Relax! It is probably just your uterus stretching out to make room for baby. If you experience any spotting or severe pain, check with your doctor.
