Why is it people always try to claim they live in a very dangerous neighbor and make it sound like it's a war zone?
I've lived in part that many says is suppose to be the most dangerous city in USA which would be Washington DC (look up Gallaudet University and area around it). It wasn't even half as bad as people make it out to be. In fact I never really have any problems whole year I lived there.
But yet it seems like half of the people claim their city is so dangerous that people carry machine guns and grenades around, dead body laying all over the place, and other stupid stuff.
Why would anyone care to show off about living in a such area? I sure as hell don't want to live in a such area and I'm very happy to be where I'm at right now (a very nice and safe city). What happen to wanting to live in a decent area and have a decent house and stuff like that? Are american really getting dumber everyday or what?

You hit the nail on the head. People are getting dumber. It is the same reason people want to act all gangster and like they are from the "hood". They want to look cool and tough. Immaturity is what I have to say. I live in same suburb near Dallas. All I hear is don't go to South Dallas blah blah blah. It is not that bad. I went over there and didn't get mugged, raped, or killed. It was a good hour I guess. They were picking up the 40's than. LOL.

118 people die in automobile accidents a day in the good old USA...also hundreds of thousand are hurt and crippled..
it is a war zone on the highway...and in our state of michigan they are reducing the state and local police force...due to budget cuts....maybe Americans are just getting a little jaded to the fact that on the highway...its worse then a war zone
I feel safe in my city...but i have had a lot of experience with friends and neighbors getting into terrible accidents...but i also fly too..and that is far safer then driving..and yet i hear people are afraid to fly..why? that sounds dumber to me..fear of flying as whats the odds of an accident happening in the air? yeah...driving is dangerous..too many fools and people who just should not be behind the wheel.

Maybe some people are simply trying to educate others. There is fear in the unknown and the more we talk about things, from where we live, to who we love, to what type of underwear we prefer, there's less fear.
It's just a thought.

well people r mayb getting dumper and they just show off abt such things but they dont eveen notice tat others will think them very dum by livin in such an area.

insecure people believe that we are all thinking like them, and so try the bluff n tuff game. It only works on people that are equally as invincible in their mums backyard, and so it can just be viewed as humorous ravings of teenage ninja's.
people that live in ghettos dont have their own room and computer, plus internet connection. so any ghetto gangsta's are probably skinny white guys that listen to music that they believe is sung just for them.
they are the rap version of the Emo.
