You're right. We've done nothing lately. 1996 Football champs, 2006 football and basketball champs, multiple tourney appearances...dominant in THE power conference in football...
Yep, you idiots...Florida has done NOTHING. I guess it's better to be a UK fan...lots of history and CRASHING AND BURNING.
Florida 78, Ohio State 52 for the National Championship.
How do you like them apples? Or rather, sour grapes by other fans.
Go Gators.
Edit: Lettie -- what "fact" is THAT? It's a rumor, number 1. Number 2, he has 2 years left on his contract. Number 3, I highly doubt Billy would leave for UK after seeing what UK did to Tubby, a man he respected. Those fans are spoiled, and at least at Florida, it would be a program HE built, not a program full of spoiled fans who can't take anything less than a NC and can't stop living in 50 years ago.
Plus, he's already talked to folks about not wanting to uproot his family at this time. He may be polite and listen, but Foley will pay the $$ and Gainesville is a hell of a lot nicer than LEXINGTON.
I see him at UF, and then MAYBE going to the heat, where he at least has 2 players so far on their roster.
UK fan--stop smoking weed. Your slide will continue.

Hey now I've grown up a Volunteer fan and lemme tell you, I have grown up hating me some gator. I eat gator tail round mid-september just to spite you pansy hurricane soaked swamp rodents.
Then the suckeye fans appeared on my radar screen this season.....filthy hype-fed red things....!
I cannot deny the talent and strength of this Florida basketball team. They have soundly handled 2/3 of their fellow Final Four participants. They can probably handle Georgetown as well. I respect them immensely for returning intact to defend their title cos it was a huge boon for college basketball- a sport I adore. I also gotta love them cos Lee Humphrey is a Maryville, TN kid. Maryville is right near Knoxville, so even if the punk went Gator, we gotta love him and cheer for the local kid.
You Ohio State fans need to wake up and realize that the insane hype you enjoy from the media does not translate into success. You were humiliated by Florida in the football championship. You're going to be humiliated by Florida in the basketball championship (after getting humiliated once this season already).

Whoever wins the Florida/UCLA game will win it. Which I do think that Florida will win it. But by you saying that Florida beat them last year doesn't mean that they will beat them this year. Who cares if the players are the same it was LAST year. Teams do have off days. That's like saying if Dallas/Phx meet in the Western Conference finals that Dallas will win because they did last year. But I do believe it will be Florida/OSU in the finals.

Haha i love listening to ignorant gator fans rant on about nothing, florida is one of the biggest schools in the country and has one of the biggest student populations, yet despite this what have they done in the past 75 years? NOTHING! They had 1 brief shining moment and now they are going to dissapear back into the abyss that we call failure. They are going to do absolutly nothing next year in both football and basketball, they will lose this year to either UCLA or OSU either way its going to be an absolute beating. If they do get a chance to play OSU then OSU will be soo pumped from the earlier loss to florida and the football season. Thad Matta will have the entire basketball team so hyped up that they will make Florida look like... well like they have looked for the past 75 years, absolute GARBAGE!!!!!

HEY ICEQUEEN................have you heard donovan comment on the UK job? he is being as flimsy as britney spears after a botlle of patron. he refuses to say he wont pursue the job. all he is doing is buying time to get through the tourney. go read the article at yahoo sports. UK is gonna throw 4 or 5 million a year at this guy. that would make him the highest paid coach in the country, BY DOUBLE!! i dont think he should go, but florida isnt gonna match an offer like this (although they are capable of it), because they are a football school and then they would have to pay urban meyer the same or more....then they would have 10 million a year invested in football and bball coach. i doubt any other school has 5 million a year ivested in both....give me a break, if he wants to go, he will go.
deleted out of ignorance huh? it is very ignorant to compare this rematch to last years game....very ignorant. if you were a REAL FLORIDA fan, you would respect UCLA very much and be realistic. UCLA has looked the best BY FAR in these past few games. Did you see them own Kansas in the end? Their defense is tremendous and will give UF fits on Saturday. I will be pulling for Florida because I have them and Georgetown in the title game. However, it is most likely that UCLA and Georgetown will be playing in the championship. You are asking a question about 2 teams squaring off in the title game that probably wont even be there. that is ignorance my friend.
become a real fan.....be a realist. i get tired of people being so unrealistically biased towards their teams. im a tennessee fan and you didnt see me saying they were gonna kill ohio state or make the final four....no, they were lucky to make it to the sweet sixteen.
it wouldnt surprise me if we had the same bball championship as basketball, with all the parody in college sports these days. but assuming those teams will win is ludacris as ucla is playing the best basketball of anyone right now.
however, go gators for my brackets sake!!
HEY PSYDUCK.......you sure come up with some bizzare things. i went to alcoa high school, you know maryville's neighbor. and i graduated from UT. evidentally you havent attended any games against florida since humphrey started playing for florida. WE ABSOLUTELY HATE HUMPHREY!!! so you are in a class of your own with that remark. he is heckled to death at every game by the student section. the only people cheering for this kid are families and friends from maryville. it isnt even his fault about going to UF because buzz peterson didnt recruit him. but we still hate him, because he is a local kid playing for the gators. apply all the unrealistic fan stuff i said to you as well. do u still think tennessee is going to the final four? hell, we were pretty much one shot away from having a real good chance as we know we can beat memphis, but no we arent there. be realistic and you will enjoy watching your teams much more. dont lie to yourself saying your teams are better than they really are. be humble. sorry, some of your earlier posts irritated me. go vols though! just be a little more realistic, thats all im asking. you just said something about buckeye fans hyping their team to be better than they really are. so practice what you preach and take it down a notch about tennessee. i know you didnt brag too much in this post, but ive been trying to get u to read my comments about it and i dont think u ever see them.
ive been following vols basketball far before they were any good and have been with them every step of the way. you wont find a bigger fan than me. i grew up on fsu football (from florida) and couldnt convert to a vol in football, but ive always loved their men's basketball.

A year makes a difference especially when the revenge factor is involved and now the fact that it has leaked out that Billy Donovan (in secret) has accepted a 3.5 million dollar a year offer from Kentucky to coach there, who knows. They may not get past UCLA.
