Of course we all know about the male size thing, and the testosterone driven urges to "look" tough, "act" tough, etc...
But I just don't get it...110lbs, that can barely look over the steering wheel of that 6000lb beast. To me, it's as ridiculous as seeing a NBA player in a pink Miata.
Your thoughts?

It has been my dream from the age of 16 to drive a big rig, and I let people talk me out of it becaues I was a girl. to this day I regret it because it was something that i wanted to do. And still do. The ability to drive places I have never been the ability to take my dogs with me to work. The ability to accomplish what so many few women do. i really don't see the diffrence between being a man or a woman driving a rig. as I ran into a good friend of mine who by the way is a man and is shorter than me. And is a know drugy gave up being a mechanic to drive truck 5 years ago. so who would you rather have behind the wheel? As I do not drink or do drugs.

Well I havent really thought that its all that stupid. That is for sure. My main thought was "finally I can fit my kids and their ball equipment in here with a stroller and the months worth of groceries and no one is crying about someones touching me." The fuel cost sucks! but it's just easier. I dont have to beg someone to watch one kid will I take the other to to practice. Or leave an older one while i take a bady to the dr. Plus we are small town people so you never know when a friend may tag along. And we build hot rods so I have to have some where to haul parts from the salvage yard. It's just what I drive. Nothing to do with the size of my hooha. That doesnt even make much sense. The big ride just fits into my lifestyle.

Women have to move their wheels and bodies just like men. They both drive the way they live and may have a need to; transport something or got a good deal on a truck, or they may just be driving their man's truck. Men think sea-dos and trucks, muscle cars and guns are just for their male testosterone fascination. But for the men looking, women have fun playing too! Maybe a woman driving a truck is challenging to men's manhood perhaps! Plus you did "see them" didn't you? What good advertising and marketing of femininity on their part; don't you think?

The (relatively new) agressiveness of the woman driver gets worse by the day, but then that's what happens when they mix with men day-by-day on their jobs, etc. They begin to act like guys-hence the big truck thing.
BTW, I wish you Gen-X (and younger) dudes would stop riding in the passenger seat every time you're with a woman in a vehicle. It makes you look like you're the girl, and she's the guy. Maybe they would respect you more too, if you would take the lead position, instead of the passive (passenger) one. No wonder so many of you get dumped by your woman-what do they need YOU for, if they have to do everything themselves???

Owwwh. Someone touched a few nerves here. I drive a lifted F350 Crew cab diesel with 39" tires and the whole nine yards. My wife drives a Mercedes SLK55 AMG Roadster. Sometimes we just trade rides for the hell of it. She likes the visibility and the load carrying capacity. I like her cars acceleration and stealthiness. I don't really identify that closely with my ride and I dam sure don't care if anyone sees me in a girly car. My maleness and her femininity are between us and no one else.

Hahaha well I think its funny, and kinda cool in a way but... as of right now I kinda have a bias in this department..
From what Ive been learning lately we really are causing a lot of polution now adays with these big gas hogging beasts..
So ... I don't really yeah,
I drive a lil corolla, it works fine for me and someday I'll get a hybrid when I have $$$ (and in the end it saves on gas and you can ride in the carpool lane!) :D

Maybe she just wants to drive one, give her a break. Not everyone fits into a damn stereotype. Some people just want to have fun. I'm personally not the type of guy who would ever drive such a thing but I keep an open mind.

Why should it worry you what they are thinking about, some lorry drivers drive massive trucks and are on the small side physically, size in this case does not matter, the only thing I hope her mind is on is the road.

I'm a woman who drives a truck ( a small SUV ) but I 100% agree with you. These crazy ladies with these Hummers and Yukon's! They should have to take their driving tests over again and see if they pass, they are a menace on the road.
