Hi it may due to the browser problem
I'll give u some steps to help u out to get the page quickly
1)Type prefetch in run command and delete all the files
2)Type temp in the run command and delete all the files
3)open the browser goto tools->Internet options->In general tab
Click on delete cookies and delete files and clear the history
This may some time works
Else try re installing the browser or use mozilla or higher versions.
This may works

Is there any problem with your modem/router ? You could try using alternatives to connect to the internet. Let's say.. dial up. It would be rather slow but if it manages to load faster than the high speed connection, then something could be wrong with the connection. Maybe your connection is not secured enough that some neighbours has stolen to use your line as well?

All of those suggestions sound good. You didn't say what brand of computer you have. Dells do weird things. A computer repair person put a firewall in my computer the last time they worked on it, and it used to do the things that you say your computer is doing. When I uninstalled the firewall, it quit.

Could be anything. 1st thing to check is if you have sufficient RAM. If not, upgrade.
