Great! But don't expect a salad or a vegetable.... It's not a meal it's a hang out with good crabs, mussels in red, seafood is the best...try the crab fries they are awesome! Fries with old bay seasoning dipped in white (american) cheese! the food is salty and spicy to entice you into another beer... and hey why not!

I've been there more times than I care to remember- overpriced, not-very-good food; terrible selection of beers (pretty much all mass produced crap; never run any specials, very crowded. There are three of them in the city- each one is near a number of preferable spots.
Instead of the one in South Philly, go to Tony Luke's (not the sandwich shop, the bar across the street), or Southwark, or better yet, venture into center city.
Insted of the original Chickie's go to the Grey Lodge, up the street on Frankford Ave,
Instead of the one in the in the far northeast, head to Fluke's or Curran's on State Road. All of these places have better foor, beers, etc

I personally can't stand the place. For one thing, you're prohibited from wearing a hat backwards in Chickie and Petes. You would think in a city where we would boo Jesus Christ if he magically appeared at the 50-yard-line of an Eagles game, would let it's sports hungry patrons wear their clothes the same way they would at a game.
