I know my spouses and he knew mine but he didnt really care and forgot. And hes always auto logged in anyway.

I dont know they should or shouldnt. We just ask eachother to check if someone emailed us from work or whatever when their on.

If you have nothing to hide, it doesnt even matter you wouldnt think twice about giving it.

I believe they should, as long as they respect each others privacy. Having an email password doesn't give the spouse permission to read the others emails without asking first. having the password comes in handy if you need to retrieve something for your spouse and they can't get to the account. It is a matter of trust.

Every couple varies. If it's offered, that's fine but it shouldn't be expected.

By the same token, if you are in a committed relationship, you shouldn't have anything to hide. At the end of the day, this question comes back to trust and insecurity. That's what you need to focus on. The password issue (Insecurity) is just a symptom of a bigger disease (Mistrust).

I think it's more like this..

When a couple is married, and they truly love and trust each other.. there is no reason to keep "secret" accounts/passwords from each other. It's like the old saying.. People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.

What are you hiding? My husband and I know each-other's passwords, but don't read the other's e-mail. Sometimes my husband will be away from his computer, and call and ask me to check something for him. That's about it.

Great Question! I WAS JUST thinking about this very idea during the week! I noticed how my hubby is always clearing out the history and turning off the PC after. What is that all about? do I smell a little unfaithfulness? or am I being paranoid?
I think we should have no secrets but then again I could be wrong!

Yes but they should not use the passwords to go into each others emails all the time.

I have to agree with the rest. If my girl asked for my password and had a good reason to ask me for it, I would gladly share it.

If you have nothing to hide it should not be an issue. Although if someone wanted it just to keep tabs on you then its not so ok.

No!

We know each others password tosign in to our individual laptops, but I trust my husband to not want to snoop in his files. Also he is a paralegal so lots of his files are for his eyes only..... simple and short, NO

Yes, they should. There shouldn't be any secrets between spouses unless one is planning a surprise party for the other.
