Not impressed with the Patriot at all. A little loose with historical facts, which is cool, I understand poetic license. But what a clean, clean little war. Everything so perfect, white tents, not a stitch out of place or a drop of mud anywhere. Geez, more soldiers died during that war from disease than from battlefield casualties.
As for First Knight, same deal applies. When were the Middle Ages so pristine? That plus the fact that the plot was sophomoric and Gere can't act his way out of a paper bag, the movie leaves a lot to be desired.

My fave of that sorta sub-genre would be another Heath Ledger movie 'A Knight's Tale'! Yay! Awesome!
I had a med-evil movie marathon saturday night and watched:
A Knight's Tale
Robin Hood: Prince of Theives
Eragon
First Knight
Black Knight
2 Recorded episodes of the new 'Robin Hood' tv series.
BBC America has a new show 'Robin Hood' that is excellent (so far). I think 'A Knight's Tale' would made a GREAT television show!

I love the Patriot. It was so well done.
I've seen the first knight, and don't like it much. I mean it is an alright movie, but it isn't historically (or mythically) accurate and that always bothered me.

I have seen both movies and loved them. Heath Ledger was great in both of them and Mel Gibson was amazing in The Patriot.
