Detroit beat Anaheim last night 1-0, and now tied with Nashville Predators with 103 points in the Central.
Why does it still say Nashville is #1 in West? Shouldnt it be Detroit since they won the season series against Nashville?

Because Nashville is still #1- Wins prevails over head to head and they have 2 more wins. 48 to 46.

MrDesperation is correct. The refs had to give the game to STL so that Nashville could still fool themselves that they're good. That's the secondary reason. So is the tiebreaker criteria. The real reason is because Nashville has an easier schedule. And refs let them get away w/ more because they want someone new in the playoffs to boost ratings. Nashville plays dirty. Just look at their most recent trade. Who better to get on your team who has no class, and sells himself to be on a team full of losers so that he seems like the best player. He did it at Colorado too. Philly saw him for what he was. A wannabe. Welcome Forsberg!!!!!

Nashville gets the first spot cause they have 48 wins to Detroit's 46 wins. that's why.

Because of those St. Louis Theives stoled the win this past saturday. They let some losers that aren't even gonna make the playoff get away with those kind of bullshit......Seriously, officiating in general has been terrible this year.

The first tie breaker is fewest games played (superior win percentage), next tie breaker is games won, then comes head to head series. www.nhl.com/standings read the bottom for tie breaking procedures.
