Ummm .... think she's a preacher, not a nun. Whatever she is, both she and her daugher frighten me!
I only watched the show because of Boston, he was really cute. Now that he's gone, I have no need look at the program. Hahaha, plus those guys aren't really my type -- I prefer the more mellow and artistic types ;)

According to Wikipedia, she is the daughter of Reverend George Patterson who is a minister of the Pentecostal Church Christ Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith in Utica, New York.
Oh, gosh I can't believe that witch and her evil daughter New York cam from a religious family!

That's something you find a lot in the Black church - men are referred to as "Brother Jones" and women as "Sister Smith", etc. It's considered a sign of respect.

She is an annoying element on the show. She acts like she is better than EVERYONE!!!!!!! It literally makes me sick, why is she SO involved in her daughters life? I mean she needs to be in love with the guy her mom doesn't have to. I HATE NEW YORK and her mom.

I think its just a term people of the baptist religion use to refer to women members of the congregation.
