Para gliding uses a specially shaped parachute that can be steered, Hang gliding more typically uses a framed soft wing and the person hangs in a harness under the wing and steers by tipping the wing by pushing on a frame in front of them.
Thus the paraglider is much taller than the hangglider.

Paragliding is when you use parachute equipment in order to glide. This is a sport in which you get up somewhere high the drop with a glider or parachute on your back. You can soar for long distances. click this link:
