Nancy Drew CANNOT be downloaded for free (unless you want to violate copyright law).
However, there IS hope! Here's a great web page that lists all sorts of free 'n' legal online text links http://ipl.org/div/subject/browse/hum60....
And here are some of my favorites. Each feature hundreds, some tens of thousands, of selections.
Project Gutenberg - the grand-daddy of all free 'n' legal e-text sites http://ipl.org/div/subject/browse/hum60....
The Online Books Page - check out the links page for more sites like this http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/...
Bartleby - very high-quality, well-chosen selection of works http://www.bartleby.com
This page also lists free online books, but divided into different subject areas, well-worth looking at http://2020ok.com/
Sadly, Blackmask was taken offline, but this site continues its legacy http://www.pos1.info/
And if you want to have some fun, check out the British Library's Turning the Pages feature, where you actually get to flip through digitized books like Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks. http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/ttp/ttpbo...
Note: If you're looking for something published recently, don't bother unless you know that the author has given his permission for online publication. Example: Cory Doctorow's site at http://www.craphound.com Bucknall has also got his work online at http://www.homestead.com/bucknall/...
Bottom line - it's simpler, really, to just go down to the public library. Free, legal, and not particularly troublesome in comparison to other, less scrupulous alternatives.
Hope this proves useful!
Note: By free 'n' legal, I mean that they're in the public domain.

How would you feel if you worked for months and months and then your employer didnt pay you? Or since you might be in school how would you feel if you had a bake sale and you went and bought all the ingredients yourself hoping to sell a lot of cookies and the students decided they didnt want to pay for the cookies and just stole them.
Ask you parents for the 5 bucks it costs for a nancy drew book. If they say no, tell them your gonna go sell drugs then to support your own pursuit of education and when you get busted that you will be sure to tell the police why. That'll get you the book
If you happen to be an adult, go get a job...1 hour of work will buy you a book.
