The first time I completely ignored it and pretended it hadn't happened for 2 weeks. I was 17 and terrified.
When I came round and talked to my mum all went fine though, and I have a gorgeous bubbly 5 year old son!
----------------
The second time we had been trying for 6 months. I'd been nauseous, but since my periods were so irregular I was more than used to negative test results every month. Depressing.
When I got a positive I called my sister straight off, and we went for a drink (soft drink!!) - she was laughing at me coz I had gone white as a sheet and I was shaking - it was because I was so ecstatically happy!! I couldn't believe it! The next thing I did was research "false positives" on the net - I just couldn't believe it had finally happened to us!
I waited a whole da to tell my b/f, as it was his birthday the next day! He said it was he best present ever!! He went all shaky too!!
35 weeks now, and still over the moon!!
:-)

I was completely scared, nervous and honestly upset. It was very unexpected. I was having a normal check up and getting a refill for my birth control pills. The nurse came back in to say ma'am you want be needing those BC pills because your pregnant. I was horrified. It turned out I was on a low dose of the certain pill and my weight was over the limit so I was never even truly protected. So a little advise ask questions about your contraception.

I couldn't look at the test first, so I made my husband do it for us. We knew were were pregnant because of all the other symptoms, but when the test came back positive all I could do was stand there and smile. We were even more surprised at our first ultrasound to find out it was twins! I just sat on the table shaking in total awe!!! It's been amazing though!

It wasnt planned and we had protected sex for 4 yrs with no slips, until the night of his 30th birthday we were so wasted. My period is never late, so I took a test only a few days after I missed it, i was in shock how quickly the lines showed up. I sat on the bathroom floor shaking but I immediatly felt peaceful and was happy about the life inside me, my now husband came home and when I told him he cried for joy, both of us on the bathroom floor!

I cried, for THREE days!!! I was only 18 when i found out and i was NOT ready to have a baby. I told my brother in law to call my fiance right after i found out i was pregnant. I called my mom the next morning. I was still bawling. But now its a totally different attitude. Im so excited and happy to be a mommy. I can't wait to have my baby. Its almost like the weeks aren't going by fast enough.

I was in denial when I saw the lines appear. I took the test alone, while my fiance was at work, and I remember being scared for one awful moment (I had always wanted a house before I started having kids), and then I felt myself smiling. I couldn't stop until I called my fiance at work and shared the news. Since then, it's been a mixture of happiness, body aches, and worries!

Since I had mixed results with pregnancy tests, I went to the Doctors office. The nurse put a doppler on my stomach and I saw her smile and she looked at me and said, "Can you hear that?" I just starred at her....lol. She handed me the meter to see how fast the heart was going and told me your pregnant. All I could studder out was a simple oh I am? Haha. Even though I knew it all along it didn't seem real to hear those words.

Totally excited. My husband had gotten up at the crack of dawn to go fishing with his friends, and came home and crashed. He wasn't sleep 10 minutes when I'd taken my test and jumped on him until he woke up. He was so knackered, he didn't really react, which was a bit anticlimactic, but after wards, when he's gotten some sleep, we both got really excited and headed to T.J. Maxx to buy some baby clothes, just for fun.

I could not stop crying for 30 mins! My husband and I just started trying and it hit me like a ton of bricks. The excitement, the nervousness, the weight of the situation is life changing (in a good way) but it just hit me like I never expected!
