while i was at swimming pool, i saw some people sink to bottom of the pool and sit there. i tried to do that but couldn't.... there must be a breathing technique to do it. tell me how....

there's two ways to do it. When you go down breath out all of your air and you can walk on the bottom of a pool. It takes up a lot of your energy though, so you won't be able to do it for a very long time. Another idea that enables you to stay under water long is carrying handweights. MAKE SURE THEY ARE LIGHT ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN BRING THEM BACK UP TO THE SURFACE, or you will be dolphin diving for them the rest of the day! Good Luck!

take a deep breath, go underwater and blow air progressively until you feel your body goes down towards the bottom (without doing any movement with your arms or legs). at this point, you shouldn't have much air left, but you can walk or sit at the bottom of the pool for some time (depending how good you are on holding your breath).

It's easier for people who are in very good condition to submerge their bodies while in the water. I'm not saying that this pertains to you, but people that have more body fat tend to have trouble submerging in the water because fat has more buoyancy and muscle doesn't because it's more dense. Also, the less air you have in your lungs, the better it is to sink to the bottom. However, most people have to take a deep breath before they can stay under water very long.

Currents and waves would make it harder so you might stay afloat. this is definitely much less annoying to stay afloat in the sea than in a pool or a lake, assuming no currents or waves, because of the fact saltwater can provide a extra physically powerful buoyant rigidity.

uh dont take up smoking and keep swimming eventually maybee you will be the hero in the pool

Go under, relax and blow out as much air as possible. Don't stay under more than 15 minutes though

blow out all of your air while your head is under and you should be able to sink a little and stay down
