Joseph Robert Leroy /or/ Robert-Leroy
Ayla Gene Marie /or/ Ayle Gene-Marie
My family kinda has a tradition of using 2 middle names.
Gene is my great aunt who is an amazing woman. Leroy was her husband who passed about 2 yrs ago now. He was one of my most favorite people in the family.
Joseph is the name of my uncle, cousin, and fiance. Robert is the name for my poppy(grandfather), another uncle, cousin, and a 2nd cousin.
Ayla Marie has always been the name for my little girl.

I think those names are awesome. Dont let people talk you out a name you really like. It sounds like you adore them! I think it is awesome that you name then about your familiy. Thye must all be very honored, I know I would. Ayla is also a very unique name. I like the middle names witout the hyphen (-), that is just what I like. Good luck and Congratulations!

I like Ayla Marie without the Gene. and I like Joseph robert but without the Leroy.

Joseph Robert Leroy is very masculine. Strong. A little old-fashioned, but l like that! You can use a lot of nick names! Joe, Joey, Rob, Robbie, Lee, Roy.
Ayla Gene Marie. Not sure. I love the Gene Marie part....but Ayla isn't doing it for me. Maybe a different spelling? The hyphenated part is cool, either way is pretty.

As for the girl...Gene is generally used for boys, maybe consider making it a little more girly with Jene or Jean!
Ayla Jene Marie. I like the sound of it, just concerned about the boyish name....but that is just my thing!

Gene is masculine. Jean is feminine. Otherwise, great name. Ayla is pretty. Marie is overused. I like the boy name just fine, surprisingly.
