He was against the war in Iraq before it was popular to be against it. History has proven him right. Also he became successful in politics by inspiring regular people, not sucking up to rich people and lobbyists.

Obama is fighting for open and honest government and wanting to make a big effort to clean up Washington.
He also believes in making changes to the tax code that reflects the needs and everyday worries of Americans.
( Like You and I).
He also believes America must commit to a new energy policy focused on improving technology, looking at alternate fuels and making greater efforts in conservation, efficiency and waste reduction.
He believes the troops have done well but also believes there can be no military solution to a political conflict.
He wants to preserve Social Security and Medicare and modernize certain things to help Senior Citizens keep up in this world.
He is concerned with the growing use of Meth. Wants to do something about it.
He is not for illegal immigration and is working with other members in government to fix the problem.
He also wants to provide every American with an opportunity to recieve a quality education.
He wants affordable, accessible, high-quality healthcare. He believes it should be everyones right, not just some.
He is committed to helping the Veterans. Not just the ones fighting this war when they come home, but the ones from before also. He wants them well taken care of.

On a personal note, he talks to us like real people, not the way politicians do. If you look at him when he speaks, he looks very sincere in what he is saying and sounds sincere. The needs of the people are more important.

Obama is very articulate I will have to give him that.

He has the entire religion thing in the bag as well.

He is Christian
Father is Muslim
Mother is an Atheist.

He is of mixed heritage.
He said he would not immediately pull out of Iraq.

I am a Republican so I probably would not vote for him, but if he does become President I would support him. Hillary on the other hand, is just more of the same.

Intelligence, friendly, approachable, insightful, has a stance on issues that I agree with. Example, punishing companies that hire illegal aliens instead the illegal aliens themselves. He is not afraid of taking a stance even when it is unpopular, example: voting against the Iraq war. His wife is educated, and ambitious and not just elbow dressing like our current first lady. Basically a refreshing change from 8 years (only 1.5 left now!) of one of the most embarrasing presidents in American history.

He has not been in office long enough for some lobbyist/special interest group to buy his soul yet.
