I have to write a short poem about something today that is wrong in a satire.

Don't put anything about God.

I'm thinking something sarcasmistic.(if thats a word)

HELP?

How about An Inconvenient Truth? or Farenheit 911? Heck, how about just satirizing Bush like everybody else does. Do you watch The Daily Show or the Colbert Report? How about Bush as Hamlet? With Karl Rove as Horatio and Cheney as Claudius who goes around shooting people in the face? Condy as Ophelia - trying to talk through those horrible teeth. Get thee to a dentist!! Bush holding the skulls of all the people like Scooter Liddy and Colin Powell who took the blame for things he did? Alas Poor Scooter - I knew him well, Karl. And the word is sarcastic. Pax - C.

Satire?

the purpose of satire is not primarily humour but criticism of an event, an individual or a group in a clever manner.

So you have the Iraq war, the upcoming american elections, and so many other things. Is there something at your school that you can satirize?

Try looking at Jonathan Swift's (The Gulliver's Travels author) A Modest Proposal, there is a lot of sarcasm evident in there.
