Paint it with acrlyic paint and sprinkle glitter on
or use deco pauge, you tear out pictures from magazines and glue them on in layers, it turns out nice and its different

You can draw on the egg with a crayon, then dye it. The dye won't stick to where the wax is on the egg, so it leaves a design.
You can wrap the egg in rubber bands and dye it...same theory as tie-dye.
You can always use craft things...glitter, stickers, pipe cleaners...you can use the pipe cleaners to make rabbit ears and draw a face on the egg and make it a bunny!

Ditto - my son has just informed me he needs to do one of these by Thursday. I've suggested he makes it look like his head teacher by colouring a face and clothes on in felt tip and sticking some hair on top... cheap, I know but time is of the essence and he is only six ;o)

do you have any colorful silk scarves? cut them up and wrap an egg up tight in one and tie it shut
boil w/ 1/4 c vinigar 20 min
cool and remove silk and it's colored from the pattern/print

idk but maybe some covered with powered glitter which i saw in martha stewarts...is he bringing it to school cuz than he can decorate it and put his classmates and fav teachers names in it...idk put things he/she likes, flowers, candy, ball, whatever
