High pay typically equates to high cost of living. Metro areas such as NYC and LA pay well, but the cost of living is outrageous.

Well I gotta say LA and NY b/c i live in Ca and the cost of living here is craaaazy!! you better be making good money here if you own a house. you can imagine the rent.

New York, but at $2400/ mo rent for a studio in Manhattan, that isn't saying much.
