Hi there

I am a professional therapist in massage, reflexology, reiki etc.
Im just starting up my own massage therapy studio and I am unsure what to name it.

I have stated the names above 'Sublime Treatments- for the soul' and 'Touches of Heaven' or 'Touch from Heaven'.

What sounds appropriate? I am not wanting people to have the wrong impression about me and my service.

Any comments and advice will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

I've been a massage and neuromuscular therapist for six years and opened up my own clinic right out of school.

naming your practice can be difficult at best and yes, with massage therapy you have to becareful not to give the wrong impression. I went with Body Kneads at first and then thought better of it and went with Safe Touch. Now I have a practice called WellSpring Health Spa.

What you need to decide is whether you are focusing more on the health or pampering aspect of massage and then your name should reflect that.

YOu could also name your practice for your location. ex: Eastwood Massage.

A name I always liked was Health Solutions. YOu could also go with Body Solutions or Health Spring. But I focus on the health aspect, so that is the direction I tend to lean.

Good luck and don't get discouraged. If you ever want to share ideas with another professional or have any questions, feel free to email me, mark me as a contact.

'Touches of Heaven' will give the wrong impression. 'Sublime Treatment' will give people the idea that they will be pampered. I named my personal business 'Arnold Tui Na Health' as I practice Tui Na massage therapy. Overall it is a tricky situation, especially if you live in an area where 'Massage Parlors' are common.

Go with a name that you feel comfortable with and politely inform individuals that inquire about other services that they have the wrong idea. I know when my mother was running her own Massage business she frequently dealt with this problem. It also really helps if you can get a two sided business card and have a short blurb about your work on the back side.

No such factor in heaven. I imply the crimson carpet healing. Everyone's same, whether or not you are piously devout or deeply religious. But hi there, there's no assurance that both of the 2 will get a situation in heaven. That's for the One above to make a decision.

Touches of Heaven is the better name of the two.
About people getting the wrong idea, don't worry about it, they will. The loudest statement you can have about your studio is what your customers tell everybody about it.

Just do all the things that people who look for massage need. I have found that people who look for massage are only people who need unconditional positive regard. That's how you do your magic. Be their friend by doing nothing more that what you are trained to do. You will find they open up to you, they laugh, they cry, they divulge secrets. They do their part - they lie there and feel. They have put an enormous amount of trust in you. Don't betray that. Respect them and they'll keep coming back.

I'd go with the location idea. Like Lakeside Massage or Hampton Massage. Keep it professional and not too "touchy feely" or you will give the wrong idea.
