Not being racist, just wondering. Why are most sports dominated by blacks? and why is the majority white only in hockey?

well obviously race DOES matter, over 90% of players are in black in the NBA and a good 60-70 in the NFL, don't tell me its coincidence, the numbers are too high.

because black people, NOW DAYS, use sports as a way out of poverty, but not in every case. The powers that be in European countries, and don't get it twisted for a moment, America is a European country, only allow blacks to be successful in either sports or entertainment. Racism is still alive and well in the world. Some ethnic groups can't stand to see black people in the corporate environment. Some ethnic groups can't stand to see black people in science, or medicine. As for hockey, if you've payed attention black people don't do to many things that has something to do with cold weather. Why? Simple, because black people come from a hot climate. The name Africa comes from the french word Afrik which means without cold. Europeans, on the other hand, most of the ones that I have met, LOVE cold weather. Some love warmer weather, but the ones I met like it cool. I have met black people that love cold weather too, but not many.

People like what they like. I guess where anyone grew up, certain sports they played when they were younger grew on them as they got older, so that's what they decided to do for a living. I know for sure that they should have a back up career if they so happen to not be able to play sports anymore. Don't think race should matter.

in the past it was because sports where one of the few areas that Blacks where aloud into and had few road blocks to make it to the top.
Know it's because Black kids looking up to someone for a role model that look like themselves are likely to find that figure in sports and so they try to make it in sports because they know it can be a career for them.
reason hockey is still is because there aren't many black people in the sport that makes black kids say "hey I can do that".

they have stronger, more athletic and limber bodies than whites. all answers i read above are all crap. the truth sets you free. its about the body not income. if whites were better than blacks in sport do you think coaches will be fallin over themselves to sign the next black sensation when they can get a white one, in a world were they pick whites first??? thats the beauty of sports. its one of the places were racism cannot enter because it is about wining and if you fill your team with white players because you are racist, when all the good players are blck, you will be fired as a coach. blacks make the best athletes .PERIOD

The weak blacks died on the boat over to the usa, the slave owners bred the biggest blacks toghether to make the biggest strongest blacks, thats why there are such big black people.
Anyone that says anything to the contrary, is just trying very hard to be politically correct

I think that people push them into. Children who are poor and do not go to good schools escape by sports, but some do other things as well. There were black people who did play hockey too, but they were not noticed.

Blacks will never be HAPPY until they take over. WHEN WILL PEOPLE REALIZE THIS? is there a CRISIS in the NBA/NFL? how come no one raises a crisis alert because of the lack of white players in those sports? after all we invented those sports. LOL

well because as you know, ALL schools in CERTAIN areas aren't given the SAME treatment as others, therefore nothing is really TAUGHT/LEARNED, the only thing that can keep the mind occupied IS sports, and because most of us black people already have the STRONG, PERFECT, AND NOT BONEY STRUCTURE, that allow us to be more athletic, and dominating.

Poor blacks who grow up in crappy neighborhoods and go to crappy schools who are good at sports (because it's an escape from the crappy world they live in) that are offered contracts in national sports leagues will never turn them down.

In certain income brackets its seen as the only way out!!
They are more encouraged to be athletes than scholars!
