OK i have looked at others that asked something similar, just getting a few more opinions. I had my period in Jan, then missed in Feb. I took a HPT and it was negative, my breasts were so sore though and my bf kept asking me if I was preg. but i told him it was negative. Then a couple days ago I started bleeding pretty bad(worse than normal period and much worse cramping). I am on the pill but I take other meds too(could have messed with % effectiveness), can the pill affect a pregnancy? cause miscarriage? I kept taking it cause the HPT was neg. Could I still be pregnant or was it most likely a miscarriage? Any opinions would be appreciated.

go to the hospital and get checked. when you miss a period and then get it it tends to be very heavy and more painful i doubt you were pregnant with negative tests

If taken properly, there is a 1% chance of the test presenting a false negative. So that is highly unlikely. If you miscarried, your hormone level would still indicate a positive HPT.

Yes, certain BC pills can throw off your cycle, eliminate your cycle or cause you to have only 4 periods a year. However, when I have been late by as little as a week, the normal PMS symptoms were amplified! My breats were sore, I was retaining water and when I did have my period, it was worse.

I would research the exact type of pill you use. Look into the side effects. Or just ask your pharmacist. I've always received more frank advice from my pharmacist.

It is possible, but I know that when I was on the pill, my periods got messed up and my bleeding was also worse.

This doesn't sound like a miscarraige it sounds like a reaction to your birth control. You should get into your doctor as soon as possible since these reactions may be threatening to any future of having children.

My friend thought she was miscarrying and she ended up having emergency surgery for an ecoptic(tubal)pregnancy. I think you should go see you ObGyn just to make sure you're going to be OK.
