Do you mean the best Budget P.C or the Best top of the Range. This depends on where you live. UK or USA, in the UK I'd say visit PC World as they have some very good computers, you can then judge for yourself. If you want a computer to play games on or a computer for general use they can also give you advice. Hope this is of help to you.

I have both a Gateway laptop and desktop and have had no problems at all with either. I also use a Gateway in work. I know people with Dells, Toshiba, HP and Compac and they also have had no problems. Most will accomplish what you need to do. Price is mostly the deciding factor. Talk with other people and get their ideas on what they have and even go to the electronic stores and try some out.
Good Luck!!

The one you build yourself. My friends never have problems (aside from user error) with the computers i have built.
Everyone i know that uses a "brand" of computer always have problems. Especially those with dells and emachines. Those are the most popular computers in my area.
I built 3 computers for myself and the only problems i have with them are from hard use and abuse. But i built them so i fix them. It isn't hard. I learned everything i know by reading online. Google is my best friend.

I might be the only person to say this but from my personal experience, I would say Packard Bell.
Now I am speaking from laptop terms but when I bought my Packard Bell Easynote E2560, just over a year ago, my screen started to develop cracks in its casing due to excessive closing and opening of the laptop. I rang their customer service helpline and this was on the day my warranty was about to expire. I explained the problem and that it was causing the screen to change in brightness and lines would appear on the screen, but they were really helpful, and arranged for a courier service to pick my laptop up the next day to be fixed. It was returned within 3 days, with a brand new screen.
I was very impressed with how quick they dealt with my problem.
So, based on my personal experience, go for Packard Bell.

The best...Alienware.
BTW...I've had an eMachine for nearly 2 years not without ANY problems. If you know about online games, I play BF2 without any issues. BF2 is HIGHLY demanding of a PC.

Everyone as there own best make and model.
I suggest you think on what you want your computer to do?
Internet, Games, etc then visit your local store eg:
PC World and talk to the staff. check on gaurantees, service repairs etc and of course prices then decide which will be the best for you

I've always found Dell to be both reliable and good value with a decent ability to upgrade.
