Look, here is what i think, it is a five step/demand process:
1. Nearness to your home: why root for a team not easy to see live (best way to see it) i mean really.
2. Okay, you have your favorite players, pick your absolute favorite and follow him and his team, that is why I (even though not a true fan) rooted for the Denver Broncoes when Jake "The Snake" Plummer was playing for them.
3. Rivals: Lets say in NYC, dont root for the patriots, because if you wind up on "the wrong side of town" then its not a good situation.
4. Style: Who do you think is fun to watch? Me, personally, i think Reggie Bush, Donovan McNabb, Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, and Marques Colston are the best players to watch, but i am still loyal to McNabb and his "crew" (the Philadelphia Eagles)
5. Only you know who you like, its sometimes as simple as which colors are your favorites. Now i am an avid Brett Favre fan, although i like the eagles. You to should put yourself in that situation, you said you like a bunch of players, so dont drop them just because you are now a true fan. Email me and let me know if this helped :)

i used to like a team in the NFL untill they got rid of every player that i liked on their team. Then i rooted for both teams from my state and then i waited untill i found a team with several players that i enjoyed watching play and no players that i hate. It took a while, but it doesnt mean you have to have a favorite team or player.

Where did you live or grow up? What city do you consider home? or close to home? Root for that team - It's kinda like pride for where your from. If that didn't help you choose a team - then root for the
San Diego Chargers
they've got all the best players :)

Try picking a team that is a consistent winner if you want to stay interested. The Miami Dolphins have had two losing seasons since 1969. So I'd say they are the most consistent. You may want a team close to home.

Pick the team with the most players that you like, but stick with that team. Once you pick a team it is totally unacceptable to stop liking them because they are losing. If you're going to have a favorite team and be a fan you need to stick by that team through the thick and the thin - its like a marriage.

Well i like the Patriots because i see how this team is coach how a quarterback that was pick in the six round has become one of the best or the best quarterback in the NFL and i try to always root for the underdog.

Most people root for the team they grew up living near. Just keep watching and you'll find yourself pulling for a certain team. You don't have to root for one team. You can enjoy the game like you've been doing.

I am from Washington state. I suffered through agony watching the Seahawks blow. Now they are a powerhouse. Go with the team closest to where you were born. The day will come where the that team acquires a good head coach and a good general manager. Then you have to watch them draft well for several years and voila! Superbowl!

One team that showed a lot of promise in the second half of the 2006 season was the Tennessee Titans. With Vince Young taking over after a terrible start, they almost made the playoffs. I look for the Titans to be much improved in 2007. I just wish Pacman could stay out of trouble. He's a great talent, but he's not smart enough to stay out of the courthouse.
